How to buy a pass

Frequently asked questions

How much is a monthly metro pass in Dubai?

A 30-day Silver pass costs AED 140 for one zone, AED 230 for two zones and AED 350 for all zones. The Gold version costs double, and students and seniors pay half with a personal card.

Is there a weekly metro pass?

Yes. The 7-day Silver pass costs AED 50 (1 zone), AED 80 (2 zones) or AED 110 (all zones). It is the only pass that can be loaded on an anonymous card.

Which zones does my pass cover?

The zones you choose when you buy it. Trips outside those zones are charged normally from your card balance. Check the zones of your stations on our zone list.

Is a monthly pass worth it?

It depends on your commute. Two trips a day across three or more zones on 22 working days cost AED 330 at AED 7.50 each, close to the AED 350 all-zone pass; the pass wins once you add weekend or extra trips. A two-zone commute (AED 5 per trip) costs about AED 220 a month, close to the AED 230 two-zone pass.
