How we verify our information

Every timing, fare, fine and station name on this site comes from a source we can link to, and each page shows the date it was last reviewed.

Sources, in order of preference

  1. Official: RTA announcements and the Government of Dubai Media Office (mediaoffice.ae), plus Dubai Airports for airport information.
  2. Major UAE newspapers reporting RTA announcements: Gulf News, Khaleej Times and The National.
  3. Reference data for station details (opening dates, platforms, coordinates, zones): Wikipedia station articles, Wikidata and OpenStreetMap, cross-checked against the above.

What we do when sources disagree

We use the most recent official or press source and say so on the page. When we cannot confirm a detail, such as the published zone of a station or the final order of Blue Line stops, we say it is not confirmed rather than guess.

Estimates

Our fare calculator counts the zones of the stations on your route and applies the published fare bands. It is labelled as an estimate: the gate charges the final fare.

Updates and corrections

We review timings before every major holiday, and station names whenever RTA announces a rename. If you find an error, email us via the contact page; we correct confirmed errors and update the review date.
