From the metro you can continue by intercity bus to Sharjah (AED 12), Ajman (AED 15) and Abu Dhabi (AED 25), by tram along Dubai Marina, by Etihad Rail from the station next to Jumeirah Golf Estates, and by ferry and abra on the creek. This page lists which metro station to use for each.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get from the Dubai Metro to Sharjah?

Take an intercity bus to Al Jubail in Sharjah (AED 12): E303 from Union, E306 from Al Ghubaiba, E307 from City Centre Deira or E307A from Abu Hail. There is no metro line to Sharjah.

Which bus goes from the metro to Abu Dhabi?

E100 from Al Ghubaiba and E101 from Ibn Battuta go to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station for AED 25. You can also take Etihad Rail from the station next to Jumeirah Golf Estates metro.

How do I get to DXB Terminal 2 by metro?

Terminal 2 has no metro station. Ride the Green Line to Dubai Airport Free Zone or Al Qiyadah and take a bus (check the current route in S'hail), or take a taxi. Check S'hail for the current route.

How do I get to Al Maktoum Airport (DWC) by metro?

Take bus F55 from Expo 2020 station or N55 from Ibn Battuta station. Both run every 30 minutes and only accept nol cards.

Can I use nol on the abra?

Not on the traditional AED 1 creek abras (CR1 Bur Dubai–Deira Old Souq and CR2), which are cash only. The AED 2 stop-based and air-conditioned abras, the water bus and the Dubai Ferry accept nol.
