Construction progress
- Foundation stone laid 9 June 2025.
- 10% complete in November 2025; target 30% by end of 2026.
- 20% complete by May 2026; three TBMs ('Al Wugeisha') launched from International City 1 towards Mirdif, Auto Market and Al Warsan; 10,000+ workers.
- First phase of tunnelling completed (July 2026). On completion the network will reach 131 km, 78 stations and 168 trains.
When the Blue Line opens, the Dubai Metro network will grow to about 131 km and 78 stations. Another project, the Gold Line, has been announced for 2032: 42 km, 18 stations, about AED 34 billion, scheduled 9 September 2032.

- Mirdif and Al Warqa: residential areas linked to the Red Line at Centrepoint.
